Our Borough Electric Department has been hard at work identifying and addressing potential trouble spots on the system before they cause outages.
Using thermal imaging, the team discovered several “hot spot”—areas where equipment is heating up due to stress or loose connections. The whiter the image, the hotter the connection compared to the surrounding temperature.
By catching these issues early, we’re able to:
