PUBLIC NOTICE

The Zoning Hearing Board of the Borough of Ephrata will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday February 17, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Borough Offices, 124 South State Street, Ephrata, Pennsylvania.

The purpose of this hearing is to consider two separate applications.

The first application is to change from one non-conforming use to another (office to an apartment).  Relief is sought under section 319-115 of the Code of the Borough of Ephrata.  The subject property is located 813/815 Center Avenue in a Medium Density Residential zoning district.  The applicant is Horst Brothers Builders, 1805 W Main St, Ephrata PA  17522.  The owners are Terry J. Steffy and Susan L. Summers-Steffy, 20 Summers Dr, Stevens PA  17578.

The second application is for a variance to reconstruct a non-conforming building with a non-conforming use 100 percent.  Relief is sought under section 319-112 of the Code of the Borough of Ephrata.  The subject property is located at 244 South Reading Road in a Highway Commercial Zoning District.  The applicants and owners are Lance and Lori Zimmerman, 123 Park Ave, Ephrata PA 17522.
